Well, after the president has been elected, there may be some chances that the market is effected.however, it will depend upon the announcements and promises made by the president before election. If the elected President had promised to withdraw the forces from Iraq and Afghanistan, to lower the interest rates, to create more job opportunities, so it will have a plus effect on the growth of USA and the USD will be effected in a positive way.

in answer to the original post, how much profit can a newbie make. It depends on how much the newbie knows, about the forex market, and with a start up capital of maybe 100dollars,he should be expecting a daily profit of about 10dollars daily and he should avoid greed

I agree with you the profit
a newbie or any trades for that matter makes is directly proportional to the trading knowledge he comes to the market with. Nevertheless, a trader hoping to make $10 everyday out of trading $100, that is 10% is likely to be disappointed because in trying to sustain the rate, he would most likely lose more!

5-10$ is handsome profit for newbies. if one has invested 100$ in forex trading and he is earning 5-10% it is sufficient for him.

I'm not comfortable that its because you are newbies you most earn this amount etc. For me in term of profit its does not matter if you are newbies or long time trader. Because even if you are newbies you are expected that you already know how to trade once you going to trade in real account. If you still not know how to trade then its better that you trade in demo account.
In short even if you are newbies you are expected to have the same result as a veteran trader.

For sure we can't really determine the exact profits good for newbies. What's the best to point out is that you have potential to trade if you able to make profits regardless of the amount because its the way of a trader. And for sure we know that we will be glad if we received our first profit ever in forex trading.

I am quite sure that a newbie will celebrate and appreciate their first profit from trading no matter what the amount is. What is more important that they got profitable and they would want to keep being profitable as it motivates them to learn, practice and keep being interested in forex.
